Bomb threat triggers class suspension at Koronadal university

KORONADAL CITY — Classes were suspended Tuesday afternoon at Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) here due to a bomb threat that prompted police to cordon off and inspect the campus.
Lt. Col. Harold Cornel, Koronadal City police chief, said two pieces of vellum paper bearing threatening messages about alleged improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were found inside a campus restroom at around 12:15 p.m.
Police explosives and canine units immediately responded and inspected the campus to ensure the safety of students, faculty members, and other personnel.
