‘Things We Never Got Over’ Amazon Series Adds Six to Cast

Translate

The Amazon series adaptation of the Lucy Score novel “Things We Never Got Over” has added six new cast members.

The new additions to the Prime Video series are: Sean Teale (“Doctor Odyssey,” “Only Murders in the Building”) as Lucian, Sarah Jeffery (“The Six Triple Eight,” “Charmed”) as Sloane, Megan Stott (“Penelope,” “Little Fires Everywhere”) as Waylay, Lili Simmons (“Double Down South,” “Power Book IV: Force,” “Bone Tomahawk”) as Lina, Anthony Keyvan (“Just Picture It,” “XO, Kitty”) as Stef, and JoBeth Williams (“Poltergeist,” “Behemoth!”) as Liza J.

The new cast members join previously announced leads Molly Griggs, Matthew Noszka, and Tommy Martinez. The series was originally announced back in June. The official logline states:

“When runaway bride Naomi Witt (Griggs) arrives in the quirky town of Knockemout, Virginia, she expects to rescue her estranged twin (Griggs) and return to the life she left behind. Instead, her sister disappears, leaving Naomi with a niece she never knew existed, a town full of irresistible characters — including charming local sheriff Nash Morgan (Martinez) and his decidedly grumpy but infuriatingly sexy brother Knox Morgan (Noszka) — and a future she never imagined.”

“Things We Never Got Over” is the first of three books in Score’s so-called Knockemout series. Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder wrote the pilot and will serve as showrunners and executive producers. Gina Girolamo serves as an executive producer through her production company, Strega Stories. Score also serves as an executive producer. Amazon MGM Studios will produce.

Amazon has found great success in recent years with TV adaptations of novel series. Among their string of hits in the space are “Reacher,” “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” “Bosch,” “Scarpetta,” “Off Campus,” and “We Were Liars.”
