Malacañang said on Friday that water supplies remain sufficient despite the ongoing El Niño phenomenon.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that there is already a very strong El Niño in the tropical Pacific.
(The government guarantees that there are enough water supplies in the dam and water resources. On November 3, there were 208.70 meters of water in Angat Dam, which is higher than the minimum operating level of 180 meters.)
Castro said that the Department of Agriculture has also guaranteed a sufficient supply of food, especially rice. The Department of Energy said that it was ensuring the maintenance of power plants.
(As the President said, this very strong El Niño is a different class that we will experience in the coming days, but the government is ready to attend to the needs of our countrymen.) —LDF, GMA News
