Steven Tyler Refutes Bill Burr’s Claim of Final Shows: “You Can’t Get Rid of Aerosmith”

At the second of Aerosmith‘s two comeback shows at Hollywood Bowl on Sunday night, singer Steven Tyler strongly suggested that these weren’t the legendary rock band’s last-ever concerts, despite comedian Bill Burr declaring that they were the the “final two shows.”
While emceeing the first night on Thursday, Burr told the crowd that the two Los Angeles gigs would be the “final two shows in Aerosmith’s history.”
On Sunday evening, Tyler told the audience, “So Bill Burr said these are our final shows, huh? Doesn’t he know that you can’t get rid of Aerosmith? In fact, at the end of the fucking world, there will only be cockroaches, Aerosmith, and, I guess, Bill Burr.”
However, Tyler did get reflective at the end of the concert, saying, “Before we say goodnight, I just want to say what a ride it has been with my brothers. 55 years, you guys, 55 years.”
The two Hollywood Bowl gigs marked Aerosmith’s first shows in three years. The band had previously retired from touring after Tyler’s vocal cord injury put an end to their planned farewell tour just a few shows into the outing.
