Coronation Street's Bethany Platt shares pregnancy news after dramatic row

Coronation Street's Bethany Platt has revealed her huge secret in the wake of her mum Sarah's release from prison. Bethany found out she was pregnant last week, following her one-night stand with her mum's ex Kit Green.
In tonight's episode (20 October), Bethany was forced to reveal her big secret to mum Sarah after a heated row with Maria Connor. But, understandably, she kept quiet about they baby's father.

Enjoying her new freedom, Sarah took Harry to school, with Bethany tagging along. But when Harry saw Kit on the street, he ran up to him. Kit then asked if he could get some stuff from the flat while they where out.
Meanwhile, Gary and Maria spied Sarah and Bethany as they were on the way to his sentencing. Against Gary's advice, Maria approached them and said her family was being torn apart while they got to be happy.
Back at the flat, Bethany and Kit spoke awkwardly before she made herself scarce.
Later, at the Bistro, Todd, Bethany and Sarah were toasting to her freedom when Maria came in and informed them that Gary had been given an eight month sentence.
Maria then called Sarah a bitch before taking her Manchester tart and smashing it into her face. In the scuffle, Bethany fell to the ground and appeared to hurt her wrist.

Sarah then took Bethany to the emergency room where she was told she needed an X-ray. When the nurse then asked if there was any chance she could be pregnant, Bethany revealed that she was, much to Sarah's delight.
Bethany, of course, did not reveal that Kit was the father, leaving Sarah to assume that Ryan is.
Last week, Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany, opened up to Digital Spy about the storyline. Speaking about how Bethany feels the actress said: "Really, really, really guilty.
"Bethany and Sarah have a really good relationship. Bethany has been such a support to her – she's basically been a mum to Harry while Sarah's been in prison.

"They're almost like best friends because they're not so far apart in age. So she's not feeling great about it. I think it's going to eat away at her until one day she can't take it anymore."
When asked if she would ever consider coming clean to Sarah, Lucy said: "No, I think right now it's deny, deny, deny. Coming clean is not an option, especially if she wants to keep a relationship with her mum, because her mum would have the right to never speak to either of them again.
"I mean, the whole family would, it's not even just Sarah! So she's stuck in an impossible position right now."
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
