CAF Confed Cup: What Kaizer Chiefs need to do vs Red Arrows

Translate

Kaizer Chiefs will be in action against Red Arrows in the CAF Confederation Cup on Friday, 23 October.

Kick-off at Moses Mabhida Stadium is at 18:00.

This will be the return leg of the second preliminary round of this season’s competition.

The winner on aggregate will advance to the group stage of the 2026-27 CAF Confederation Cup season.

Should Chiefs advance, it would be their second season in a row that they make it to the group stage.

Last season, Amakhosi narrowly missed it out on qualifying for the quarterfinals of the same competition.

KAIZER CHIEFS VS RED ARROWS: ALL THE PERMUTATIONS

Kaizer Chiefs head into this crucial encounter on the back foot as they lost 1-0 away to Red Arrows in the first leg last week.

Now, for Fernando da Cruz’s men need to win this match by a two-goal margin to advance to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.

A 1-0 win for Chiefs would still be good enough for them to stay in the game but they would then have to battle it out on penalties.

What the Soweto giants should AVOID by all means to is to concede and end up winning 2-1 as that result would favour Red Arrows.

Should that happen, Red Arrows would advance on away-goal rule as the aggregate score would be 2-2.
