Oliver Provstgaard hails Gennaro Gattuso for transforming Lazio after their 3-0 victory away to Juventus. ‘There is a spirit that I never experienced before in football.’
It was a remarkable evening at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin, as the Biancocelesti had not won here in Serie A since October 2017.
They dominated the proceedings thanks to an Oliver Provstgaard glancing header on a corner, the Gustav Isaksen angled drive, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru starting a run from inside his own half to complete the 3-0 rout in the final minute.
Lazio revitalised by Gattuso

“We are very happy in the locker room. It was a great game, we are so pleased, there were many things we did well today. I love football, so I like to have a smile on my face when I’m playing,” Provstgaard told DAZN Italia.
The defender didn’t have much playing time in his first season, but has flourished under Gennaro Gattuso.

“I really love working and if you work hard, you will be rewarded. It is all part of my progress as a player. Gattuso is a big part of that, he is a coach who helped me so much, he knows my quality and also what I need to improve every day.
“I am very happy that he came here, there is a spirit in the training ground and on the field now that I never experienced before in football,” added Provstgaard.

“We are defenders with a lot of quality, we all know that we can play, we enjoy working together and our objective is for Lazio to win every game.”
Lazio are the only side keeping up the pace with Inter in Serie A, as both have six wins and a draw in the opening seven rounds, opening up a two-point lead from Roma in third place.
If some might’ve suggested their strong start was a fluke, beating Juventus 3-0 in Turin is not a result that can be ignored.
