An Adelaide woman has been arrested following a spate of vehicle collisions across the north-eastern suburbs last night.

SA Police said in the early hours of Sunday morning, they received reports a car had collided with a vehicle on Montague Road at Ingle Farm before allegedly leaving the scene.

Police allege a short time later the woman was involved in three more hit-run crashes at North East Road at Hillcrest, Sudholz Road at Gilles Plains and Cassie Street at Collinswood.

Another report was made to police saying the woman was allegedly seen driving dangerously on the wrong side of the road heading towards the city at Medindie.

Police said crews were called about 12:20am to Mann Road at North Adelaide following reports of a head-on collision with another vehicle.

"Patrols quickly arrived and located the driver," police said in a statement.

"It will be alleged the woman punched a police officer numerous times and bit another officer on the finger as she was being arrested.

"The police officers involved were not seriously injured."

The victim in the last crash was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

"The 32-year-old Pooraka woman is expected to be charged with several offences, including three counts of driving without due care, three counts of speed dangerous, two counts of failing to stop at a crash scene, and aggravated assault of a prescribed emergency worker when she is medically fit," police said.
