Motorcycle-riding couple steal bottled gasoline in San Carlos, Pangasinan

A man and a woman on a motorcycle stole two bottles of gasoline from a roadside store in San Carlos City, Pangasinan.

In the report of Jewel Fernandez for GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon on Tuesday, CCTV footage captured the robbery incident at Barangay Malacanang by the rider and his female passenger.

The video showed the suspects, both wearing helmets, stopping in front of a store selling bottled gasoline. Suddenly, the woman grabbed two bottles before the motorcycle sped off.

The store’s owner said she thought the suspects stopped to buy gas. She said she was caught by surprise when the suspects took off with the stolen fuel.

The incident was reported to police and the suspects are not believe to be residents of the area.

Several incidents of “gas and run” have occurred where motorists would fill their gas tanks but escape without paying for the fuel, particularly after oil prices increased amid the conflict in the Middle East. —GMA Regional TV
