Watch Sasha Keable perform ‘Options’ and ‘Why’ on ‘Saturday Night Live UK’

Sasha Keable performed two songs on Saturday Night Live UK last night (October 10), including her recently released single ‘Options’.

The South London singer-songwriter was the musical guest on the fourth episode of the sketch show’s second series, which was hosted by Danny Dyer.

Keable opened with ‘Options’, a soulful R&B track that she released earlier this month, and later returned to perform ‘Why’, which originally arrived in 2024 and was subsequently included on her acclaimed 2025 EP ‘Act Right’.

Watch the performances below:

‘Options’ was released on October 1, accompanied by a music video filmed in Colombia, where Keable has family roots. The track explores the complications of intimacy after a relationship has ended, and was co-written with Eddie Lopes.

Speaking about its creation, Keable explained: “When I walked into the studio Eddie had already been working on the melody. I started singing back to him the first thing that came into my head: ‘breakup sex’ – and that became the lyric, I was like, right, that’s what we’re talking about.”

The song followed the release of ‘ACT II’ in February, an expanded edition of her 2025 EP ‘Act Right’, featuring five additional tracks.

In a five-star review of the original EP, NME praised Keable’s ability to combine traditional soul influences with contemporary R&B, describing the record as a “stunning reintroduction to the world”.

The singer was also included in NME‘s 100 essential emerging artists of 2026, and received a nomination for Best R&B Act at this year’s BRIT Awards.

Her recent rise has also seen her tour with GIVĒON, support Olivia Dean in Dublin and perform at the Roots Picnic festivals in London and Philadelphia.

Later this month, Keable will be among the performers at a special 20th anniversary celebration of Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’ at London’s Roundhouse on October 21.

The show will see Mark Ronson, Salaam Remi and the Amy Winehouse Band revisit the landmark album in full, with guest vocalists including Jorja Smith, FLO, Corinne Bailey Rae and Lianne La Havas.

Meanwhile, Saturday Night Live UK will continue next Saturday (October 17), when James Norton hosts with The Streets as musical guests. Cynthia Erivo and Blossoms will appear on October 24, before the show takes a break until early 2027.
