EastEnders reveals shocking Amy and Craig twist in early iPlayer release

Translate

EastEnders spoilers follow for Wednesday’s episode (4 November), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.

EastEnders has aired a shocking twist as Amy Mitchell and Craig Ingram’s harrowing storyline takes another frightening turn. Amy is being groomed by Craig and the pair are planning to flee the country together, and this week, Amy secretly returned to the Square to steal money from the salon on Craig’s orders.

When Amy watched a video from Denise, who lied and said she was dying, she went to the hospital to say goodbye to her stepmum. But while Amy realised that it was a trap, Sean confronted Craig in the hospital car park.

In today’s episode, Denise encouraged furious Amy to open up about her and Craig’s relationship. Denise told her that Craig was really suspended from the force because of his treatment of female colleagues, but Amy refused to believe her and ran off.

Meanwhile, Sean told Craig that he needed to be taught a lesson, and while Craig lashed out, it didn’t have any effect on Sean. As the pair started fighting, Amy arrived and was stunned to come face to face with Sean – but she got in the car with Craig and they left.

Back at the bedsit, Amy explained that Sean was her mum’s boyfriend and thought she was his daughter a long time ago, and she jumped to his defence when Craig called him a psychopath.

That evening, Denise, Sean and Chelsea told Jack that they had seen Amy, but she and Craig managed to get away. Jack raged at Sean and told him to leave, but at that point he got a call from Craig.

Craig told Jack that if he gives him £100,000, he will give Amy back to him. Jack immediately said he would get the cash – but Amy overheard the phone call. When she confronted Craig, he turned nasty and remarked that he lost his job because of her, so Amy brought up the complaints from his female colleagues that Denise had revealed earlier.

As Craig tried to force Amy to be intimate with him, she secretly took his phone. Craig left to buy food, so Amy used the opportunity to phone Denzel.

Denzel eventually answered her call in the café, but Craig was nearby and took the phone off him when he heard Denzel was speaking to Amy. However, Amy only got the opportunity to say that she was in a bedsit, because Craig then returned and caught her.

A fight broke out and evil Craig attempted to force himself on Amy, but she managed to lock herself in the bathroom. She grabbed a candle holder and used it to hit Craig over the head when she opened the door.

With Craig on the floor unresponsive, is he dead?

EastEnders has been working on Amy's grooming storyline with support from Barnardo's and End Violence Against Women, with support and information available via their websites.

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
