Police responding to the scene found skid marks on the grassy roadside leading toward the creek. Investigators believe the driver lost control of the motorcycle, which then hit the concrete railings and plunged into the creek. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.

The bodies were retrieved from the creek and were declared both victims dead at the scene. The victims were from Barangay Dalayap, in the town of Pinili in Ilocos Norte./Kenneth P. Tabin / Contributor/coa
