Operatives from the Agusan del Sur police intelligence unit, Trento municipal police, Regional Intelligence Unit 13 and the Philippine Army’s 4th Infantry Division arrested the suspect in Purok 5, Barangay Poblacion.

The arrest was carried out on warrants charging him with three counts of attempted murder and one count of frustrated murder issued by the Regional Trial Court in Trento, Branch 55.

Court records showed that bail was set at P120,000 for each count of attempted murder and P200,000 for the frustrated murder charge. The warrants were issued on June 14, 2022.

“This feat is further proof that when the police and military work together, we can achieve peace and security in our communities,” Suguilon said in a statement on Wednesday, Oct. 21, adding that authorities would sustain joint, intelligence-driven operations against wanted persons in northeastern Mindanao.

The suspect remains in police custody pending court proceedings. /das
