The Korea Cartoonist Association announced that martial arts manhwa artist Seung Nam Ha died on November 2. He was 68.

Born in Busan in 1958, Ha entered the comics industry as an apprentice to artist Nam-gil Heo. He made his debut in 1980 with The King of Baseball Without a Nationality.

One of his best-known works, Goltong's Declaration of Departure, began serialization in the newspaper Sports Today in 2001. The comic follows Yoo Se-ok, a young man who enters the martial arts world at his master's command and becomes involved in a series of chaotic adventures. Ha founded Ha Seung-nam Production the following year and continued publishing works in the Goltong series featuring Yoo. He was also known for Divine Sword and Evil Sword.

Ha also pursued opportunities overseas. He serialized comics in the Taiwanese comics magazine Infinite Boys in 1994 and published Sayaka in 2004 and Existence in 2005 in Japanese manga magazines. He was also the artist for the Records of the Three Kingdoms manga. In 2007, he became the first Korean comic artist to join the Japan Cartoonists Association as a full member. Ha served as a board member of the Korea Cartoonist Association.
