LASK coach Kühbauer hopes for quick Usor return
LASK head coach Dietmar Kühbauer has expressed hope that Super Eagles forward Moses Usor will recover quickly from the shoulder injury he suffered in the 2-0 defeat to Rapid Wien at the Raiffeisen Arena on Sunday.
Usor was introduced in the second half in place of Austrian striker Christoph Lang in the 61st minute. He was forced off 12 minutes later, with United States striker Samuel Adediran coming on to replace him.
Speaking to the media after the defeat, Kühbauer confirmed the injury but struck an optimistic note.
“Mo has a slight injury to his shoulder joint. I hope it won’t take too long,” Kühbauer said via Laola.
The 24-year-old is now a doubt for LASK’s UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool on Wednesday evening.

The setback is a major blow for Kühbauer, with LASK set to play eight matches across all competitions over the next four weeks, leaving little room to rotate the squad.
Usor had been enjoying a dream spell with the national team. He made his Super Eagles debut during the September international break, coming off the bench to score the winning goal in Nigeria’s 2-1 comeback victory over Madagascar in their opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo.
He needed just 14 minutes after his introduction to produce a brilliant individual effort that completed the turnaround, after George Ilenikhena had cancelled out Ehsan Kari’s opener.
The Nigeria international will now hope to recover quickly and return to action as he looks to maintain his impressive start to the season for club and country.
