Translate

Country star Alan Jackson’s farewell concert, “Alan Jackson: The Last Show,” will air on NBC on Dec. 8. The event, which celebrates Jackson’s career and memorializes his final concert performance, will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.

The special, which was tapped on June 29 during Jackson’s sold-out final concert at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium, features performances and appearances from Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Jake Owen, Jon Pardi, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson, Lee Ann Womack, Adam Wright, Big City Brian Wright and Carlisle Wright.

Jackson performed hits including “Chattahoochee,” “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” “Remember When,” “Gone Country” and “Livin’ on Love.” Music from the concert will be featured on his forthcoming live album, “The Last Show: One More for the Road – The Finale (Live from Nashville).”

Per the concert’s description, “the special will spotlight Jackson’s remarkable catalog of hits spanning more than three decades, including songs that helped define country music and cemented his place among the genre’s all-time greatest songwriters and most-impactful artists.”

Sam Wrench directed, who is best known for “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” in 2023 and this year’s “Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special,” in addition to concert films with singers including Sabrina Carpenter, Laufey, BTS, Brandi Carlile, Billie Eilish, Andrea Bocelli and Mumford & Sons.

Jackson was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2017 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2018. In 2011, he was elected to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.

In 2021, the singer revealed he had been dealing with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a degenerative nerve condition, for at least a decade at that time. The condition causes nerve damage, primarily in the extremities, that can interfere with the ability to walk.

Executive producers of the concert are Cindy Mabe, Dawn Gates and Harper Grae for Joan of Arc StudioWorks and Mike Antinoro and Raj Kapoor for EverWonder Studio, as well as executive producers Alan Jackson, Debbie Doebler and RAC Clark. Co-executive producers are Allison Roithinger, Victoria Chamlee and Danny Meiseles for EverWonder Studio.

“Alan Jackson: The Last Show” is produced by Joan of Arc StudioWorks and EverWonder Studio.
