Harry Kane close to new contract – Bayern CEO

Harry Kane wins 2026 Men's Ballon d'or

Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has officially confirmed that Harry Kane is close to signing a new contract with the club.

In comments to Sport Bild on Wednesday, Dreesen said: “I’m very positive! We are working on the details. Harry is fantastic, we’re proud to have the Ballon d’Or winner.”

The England captain, who lifted the Ballon d’Or on Monday, is in the final stages of negotiations over an extension. His current deal runs until the summer of 2027. The new agreement is expected to keep him at Bayern Munich until at least 2029.

Kane has been outstanding since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, scoring heavily and becoming a central figure in the team under manager Vincent Kompany. Both the club and the player have repeatedly expressed their desire to continue the partnership.

An agreement in principle was reached earlier this month, with only the final details now being finalised.
