A+E Global Media’s Dan Silbermann Joins AI Company Sol as Its New Head of Marketing and Communications

A+E Global Media exec VP of communications Dan Silberman is exiting after 20 years (and more than 25 years in the TV world) to take on a new role in the AI space. Silbermann has joined Sol, which works with businesses in implementing AI workflow, as its new head of marketing and communications.

Silbermann will report to Sol managing partner Kaan Aslansan and will continue to be based in New York. At Sol, Silberman will handle brand, marketing and communications strategy, including “positioning and narrative, earned media, content and thought leadership, digital presence, internal communications and reputation management.”

“We’ve built Sol on the strength of our delivery. Now we’re investing in making sure the market knows it,” said Aslansan in a statement. “Dan has built and defended brands under genuine public scrutiny, at a scale most firms never touch. He’s exactly what this next phase of growth needs, and he’ll make sure the market sees what our clients already do.”

At A+E Global Media, Silbermann oversaw media relations, corporate and internal communications, crisis management, social strategy and talent relations for A&E Network, History Channel, A+E Factual Studios, A&E Indie Films and more. He began his career at New York’s Rubenstein Communications, then later joined Bravo Media, where he helped its transformation into a pop culture destination with early hits like “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” and “Project Runway.”

“Twenty-five years in television taught me that attention follows the story you tell about your work, not just the work itself,” said Silberman. “Sol is competing with firms several times its size and winning, which is the rare case where the story is sitting right there waiting to be told. I’m joining a team of doers that is reshaping how their clients operate, and I’m here to make sure it sounds like it. I’ve made a career of learning a new business from the best people in it. I want Sol to be the name people already know when we walk in the room.”

Sol’s “agentic AI systems, workflow modernization and workforce transformation” focuses on fields including media, entertainment and adtech, as well as state and local government and education.
