Senior Presidential Advisor and Senior Aide to President John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, has urged members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to prioritise unity and solidarity as the party holds its constituency elections today, Saturday, October 24.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, she extended her best wishes to aspirants, delegates and party members working to ensure a peaceful, transparent, credible and successful electoral process.

She said the strength of the NDC had always rested on its members, particularly those who dedicate their time, energy and resources to the party’s growth, often without recognition.

“To every aspirant, thank you for stepping forward to serve. To our cherished delegates, I trust that you will exercise your responsibility with wisdom, fairness, and the collective interest of our great party at heart,” she said.

Mrs Bawah Mogtari urged successful candidates to lead with humility and reach out to those who lose, while encouraging unsuccessful aspirants to remain committed to the party.

She stressed that the elections should not undermine the relationships built among members, insisting that the party’s collective responsibility to Ghanaians must remain paramount.

“Our focus must remain on the bigger picture: supporting His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama and his government to ensure our shared commitment to improving the lives of the Ghanaian people,” she added.

She said while the elections would pass and positions would change hands, the bonds of comradeship and the party’s responsibility to the people must endure.

Mrs Bawah Mogtari concluded by wishing the NDC a peaceful and successful electoral process and called for continued solidarity among members.
