Kaizer Chiefs will host Siwelele in the quarter-finals of the Carling Knockout Cup after Wednesday night’s draw in Durban.

Amakhosi booked their place in the last eight with an emphatic 3-0 victory over TS Galaxy at FNB Stadium on Tuesday evening, while Siwelele advanced after edging Polokwane City in a penalty shootout last weekend.

The quarter-final tie is scheduled for the weekend of 7 and 8 November, with Kaizer Chiefs enjoying home advantage.

Duba hat-trick fires KAIZER Chiefs into last eight

Wandile Duba was the standout performer in Kaizer Chiefs’ Round of 16 clash against TS Galaxy, scoring all three goals in a superb hat-trick.

Siwelele, meanwhile, had to work harder for their place in the next round, progressing after a tense penalty shootout against Polokwane City.

Their upcoming meeting with Kaizer Chiefs will offer both teams a chance to move one step closer to lifting the trophy.

Kaizer Chiefs to host quarter-final

The match will be played during the weekend of 7–8 November, although the final venue arrangements and ticketing details have yet to be confirmed.

Further information is expected from the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

With a place in the semi-finals at stake, the fixture promises another important test for Amakhosi as the Carling Knockout Cup moves into its decisive stages.

Meanwhile, the other three quarter-final matches will see Stellenbosch FC take on AmaZulu, Orlando Pirates host Sekhukhune United and Mamelodi Sundowns face Golden Arrows.

Orlando Pirates are the tournament’s defending champions having beaten Marumo Gallants 1-0 in last season’s final.
