Nigeria champions, Rangers International, have confirmed they will play their home matches in the 2026/2027 EuroMatch–NPFL at the Awka City Stadium, Completesports.com reports.
It will be the second time the Coal City Flying Antelopes will host their league home games in Awka, with the first coming during the 2022/23 abridged season.
Rangers CEO Ezeaku Confirms Relocation
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the nine-time EuroMatch/NPFL champions, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku, confirmed on Friday morning that Awka City Stadium will be Rangers’ adopted home ground for their league games in the 2026/2027 season.

“We will play in Awka,” Amobi responded to a Completesports.com question about the club’s substantive home venue for the season, following renovation work at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
Rangers’ Season Begins Away From Enugu
Rangers began their 2026/2027 campaign at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, with a 1-1 draw against Katsina United.
They later moved to the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, where they hosted Nasarawa United in a Matchday 3 fixture. However, a heavy downpour ensured the game was not concluded on Thursday, 17 September, with the scoreline at 1-1. The game was billed for completion at the same venue on Friday morning at 8:30am.
Owerri Stay Before Awka Homecoming
After the match against Nasarawa United, Rangers will remain in Owerri until Sunday, 20 September, when they will be guests of Kun Khalifat in a Matchday 4 fixture before opening their Awka City Stadium campaign with a Matchday 5 home fixture against Ranchers Bees of Kaduna.
