Siya Kolisi’s officially got the sauce – after collaborating with Nando’s to create a new condiment. The news comes days after reports that the Springbok captain joined restaurant group Life & Brand Portfolio as a stakeholder.

SIYA KOLISI UNVEILS NANDO’S SAUCE

On social media, several content creators have teased the release of Siya’s Sauce, in collaboration with Nando’s

The sauce – which will reflect the flavours of the Springbok captain – will officially be rolled out in stores on Tuesday, 3 November.

The launch coincided with the opening of the new Nando’s restaurant in Stellenbosch.

EXTENDING HIS BUSINESS INTERESTS

Last month, Siya Kolisi announced that he had acquired a 5% stake in South African restaurant group Life & Brand Portfolio, which owns brands including Tiger’s Milk, La Parada, Harbour House and Old Town Italy.

The Springbok captain is expected to contribute to marketing, business development and the conceptualisation of new restaurant offerings, bringing his ideas and South African cultural influences into the group’s brands.

Siya has also expressed an interest in creating experiences that bring people together through food, sport, music and community events, while using the partnership to support youth and community development.

In a statement, the 35-year-old said of his new role: “It’s a big honour for me. I think I’m at the stage of my life where I’m closer to the end of my career. And it’s daunting to think about what you’re going to do after

He added: “I think the idea is how we can bring more people together. Doing sports, making it more fun, having competitions and all kinds of things. I think we want to bring people together to talk”.
