One person in hospital after aged care facility fire in North Adelaide
One person has been taken to hospital following a fire at an aged care facility in North Adelaide.
At 12:30pm today, 34 firefighters from 12 appliances attended the blaze at Helping Hand on Buxton Street.
MFS's Nicolle Bradley said quick action from emergency crews located a fire on the ground floor.
She said firefighters brought the fire under control within 15 minutes.

Ms Bradley said crews prevented the fire from spreading further into the facility.
MFS commander Phil Ross said multiple people called Triple Zero (000) about the fire.
"We've got some smoke damage occurring to some of the adjacent levels," Mr Ross said.
"This is the independent living side of the accommodation. They have their own 240V smoke alarms … it's only a local alarm which is not monitored by the MFS."

The commander said a number of people were evacuated from the building during the blaze.
"The person who was in the unit self-evacuated. He has been transported to hospital."
Mr Ross said the patient had a head laceration.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
The commander estimated the damage bill to be about $200,000.
