SNL UK reveals October lineup including Danny Dyer, James Norton and Cynthia Erivo

Saturday Night Live UK has revealed its October lineup, with Danny Dyer, James Norton and Cynthia Erivo among the stars set to host the Sky comedy show.

The three actors will each take the helm of an episode of the British version of the long-running US sketch show, alongside a different musical guest.

Dyer will host the first October episode on October 10, with Sasha Keable providing the music.

Cynthia Erivo will take over hosting duties on October 24, with Blossoms announced as the musical guest.

The new series airs live each week on Sky and NOW, bringing the format of the iconic US show to the UK for the first time.

Each episode features a new celebrity host alongside a chart-topping musical act, with the show promising the same live, unpredictable energy associated with its American counterpart.

The US version of Saturday Night Live has been a television institution for more than 50 years, launching the careers of generations of comedians and performers.

The UK version puts a British spin on the format while retaining the live element and combination of sketch comedy and musical performances.

SNL UK is executive-produced by Lorne Michaels, the long-standing boss of the US version.

The show is being produced by Broadway Video and Universal Television Alternative Studio's UK production team.

Cecile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of Sky Studios and Chief Content Officer at Sky, previously said the broadcaster was “thrilled” to be working with Michaels and the SNL team.

She said: “For over 50 years Saturday Night Live has held a unique position in TV and in our collective culture, reflecting and creating the global conversation all under the masterful comedic guidance of Lorne Michaels.

“The show has discovered and nurtured countless comedy and musical talents over the years and we are thrilled to be partnering with Lorne and the SNL team to bring an all-British version of the show to UK audiences next year – all live from London on Saturday night!”

Sky has also said the UK version forms part of its wider slate of Sky Originals and exclusives coming to Sky and NOW in 2026 and beyond.

The October lineup is:

• October 10 – Danny Dyer, with music from Sasha Keable
• October 17 – James Norton, with music from The Streets
• October 24 – Cynthia Erivo, with music from Blossoms
