Pahang raises monthly security resettlement scheme allowance to RM1,100

Translate

KUANTAN: The Pahang government has increased the monthly cost-of-living allowance for participants of the security resettlement scheme from RM1,000 to RM1,100, benefiting 563 participants across the state.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the decision was made at a meeting of the Pahang State Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPP) board of directors.

The increase will benefit participants in Sungai Chalit, Raub, as well as Merapoh, Peruang and Jerkoh in Lipis.

"The increase reflects the state government's continued commitment to the welfare and cost-of-living needs of participants, particularly in coping with the current rise in the cost of living.

"The monthly allowance rate has not been reviewed since 2013," he said in a statement.

Wan Rosdy said the increase would involve an additional financial allocation of RM675,600 a year and would take effect in January 2027.

"I hope the increase will provide some relief to participants and their families in managing their daily expenses," he said, adding that the state government would continue to safeguard the people's welfare in line with the Pahang 1st aspiration.
