CDO cops launch manhunt for motorcycle-riding suspects in fatal shooting
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — A 50-year-old man was shot dead by motorcycle-riding assailants in Sitio Bontong, Barangay Camaman-an here on Friday, Sept. 25, police said.
The victim, identified as Marlou Valmoria, a resident of the city’s Barangay Bonbon, was attacked at 11:15 a.m. and sustained a gunshot wound to the head, which killed him instantly.
According to the official statement of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO), Valmoria had just returned from an errand and was alighting from a vehicle to open a gate when an unidentified individual approached and opened fire. The Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO)) team subsequently arrived to process the area.

The daytime attack was captured on a security camera and investigators said the perpetrators fled the scene on a black Yamaha Sniper motorcycle bearing no license plate. The driver was described as wearing a black jacket, while the gunman was seen in maroon-colored clothing.
COCPO assured the public that intelligence operatives are actively conducting follow-up operations to identify, locate, and apprehend the suspects.
Authorities appealed to any witnesses, or anyone who may have seen the described motorcycle or individuals, to contact COCPO or Police Station 2 immediately. INQ
