5 Emmerdale spoilers for tonight as furious new Jacob feud erupts

Emmerdale spoilers follow from Thursday's episode (17 September), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't aired on ITV1 yet.

In tonight's Emmerdale, Jacob and Mack find themselves embroiled in a furious war of words over the ongoing baby drama – which isn't a good idea when they have an audience listening in!

Meanwhile, Joe's funeral plans cause further tension in the village, and Kev gives Lewis some advice about Vinny.

1. Sarah fears for Charity's future

Sarah faces further questioning at the police station following her attempt to clear Charity's name.

While DS Ramsden takes a caring approach, her colleague DC Price gives Sarah a hard time for repeatedly changing her story.

As Sarah now seems like a highly unreliable witness, she soon realises that her latest statement may not be enough to secure Charity's freedom.

2. Tensions erupt at The Woolpack

With Mack determined to secure Charity's freedom and Jacob staying loyal to Sarah, the two men end up in a furious argument at The Woolpack.

Harsh words are exchanged, and when things get out of hand, Mack publicly exposes the truth about who Leyla's parents are. Has he just made everything worse?

3. Ruby tries to reason with Joe

Billy tries – and fails – to convince Joe that Lucas and Clemmie should be allowed to attend Dawn's funeral. He points out that the kids deserve a chance to say goodbye, but Joe is unmoved.

Ruby steps in and pays a visit to Home Farm, optimistically hoping that she could be the one who reasons with Joe. But with Joe still harbouring resentment over Ruby's actions on the day of Dawn's death, she could be painting a target on her back by getting involved again…

4. Charles comforts Nicola

Charles pays a visit to Nicola, supporting her as she prepares for Jimmy's funeral.

Nicola is still experiencing conflicted emotions after Sadie's false claims about Jimmy's double life – can Charles help her find a way through it?

5. Kev slaps down Lewis's proposal plan

As Lewis grows tired of waiting for Vinny to propose, he questions whether he should hurry things along by doing the honours himself!

Kev insists that it's a bad idea, but fails to disclose why. Still concealing Vinny's secret, Kev hates the difficult position that he's in.
