STATS: Manqoba Mngqithi’s record at Yanga SC

Translate

Manqoba Mngqithi is back in the country after he was shockingly sacked by Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC.

Mngqithi was shown the exit door last weekend despite his impressive record with the club during his three-month stint.

This proves that his sacking had nothing to do with the team’s performances since the South African-born mentor came in.

Mngqithi had been given the freedom to assemble his own backroom staff which included Kagisho Dikgacoi, Pitso Dladla and Greg Etafia.

The trio are still with Yanga, and the technical team will now be led by Dladla on an interim basis.

Now, Mngqithi, who is unattached, is heavily linked with a possible move to Kaizer Chiefs who still have a coach in Fernando da Cruz.

MANQOBA MNGQITHI’S RECORD AT TANZANIAN GIANTS YANGA SC

Mngqithi arrived at Yanga before the start of the season following his departure from Golden Arrows.

He was in charge of 13 official matches. He won 10, drew TWO and lost just ONCE.

During that period, Yanga scored a whopping 27 goals and conceded just SEVEN but the management did not consider all that when making the decision to sack him.
