Euromatch NPFL: Sporting Lagos Silence Enyimba In Aba , Rangers Secure Narrow Win

Enyimba continued their poor start to the season with a 3-2 home defeat to Sporting Lagos on Wednesday.

The nine-time champions remain bottom of the table with zero points from their opening five games.

Stanley Dimgba put Enyimba ahead one minute before half-time, but Sporting Lagos drew level six minutes after the restart through Abdulraqeeb Abdullahi.

Enyimba regained the lead in the 54th minute when Haruna Hadi converted from the penalty spot.

However, Sporting Lagos fought back, with Haruna Hadi scoring his second goal of the game in the 65th minute before Daniel Aboh completed the comeback four minutes later to seal all three points for the visitors.

Defending champions Rangers recorded a narrow 1-0 home victory over Ranchers Bees, with Chidozie Iwundu scoring the decisive goal 10 minutes from full-time.

Barau FC moved to the top of the table after a 2-0 win over Abia Warriors. Joseph Atule and Ibrahim Ayoola were on target for the Maliya Boys.

In Ibadan, Shooting Stars secured a 2-0 victory over Katsina United, with Olanrewaju Ridwan and Qamar Adegoke scoring the goals.

Doma United and Plateau United played out a 2-2 draw at the Pantami Stadium.

The hosts raced into a 2-0 lead through a brace from Michael Adegbite before Plateau United fought back to earn a point courtesy of goals from Gideon Monday and Paul Samson.

At the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Inter Lagos were held to a 1-1 draw by Kano Pillars.

Former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa set up Ubong Friday for the opening goal 12 minutes before half-time, while Bashir Abdulkarim equalised for Inter Lagos 15 minutes from time.

Former champions Bendel Insurance secured a 2-1 victory over Ikorodu City.

Chinedu Nwosu gave Insurance the lead from the penalty spot four minutes before half-time, before Aderemi Adeoye restored parity for Ikorodu City in the 79th minute.

Alex Oweilayefa, however, struck the winning goal six minutes from full-time to hand Insurance all three points.

Niger Tornadoes were held to a goalless draw by Niger Tornadoes at the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna.
