Haaland leads Ronaldo, Mitrović, Gyokeres in Nations League all-time scoring chart

Erling Haaland has moved clear at the top of the UEFA Nations League’s all-time scoring chart after taking his tally to 21 goals in the competition.

The Norway and Manchester City striker reached the mark after scoring twice against Denmark at the start of the 2026/27 Nations League campaign, taking his goals tally to 21 in 16 appearances.

According to UEFA on Saturday, Haaland is followed by Serbia’s Aleksandar Mitrović and Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo, who have both scored 15 goals in the competition.

Kosovo forward Vedat Muriqi is fourth on 14 goals, while Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku has 13.

Haaland’s Nations League record comes after he also became Norway’s all-time leading scorer in 2024.

He scored twice against Slovenia that year to surpass Jørgen Juve’s record, which had stood since 1934.

The Nations League, which began in 2018, has produced several prolific goalscorers, with Ronaldo among the competition’s most notable performers.

The Portugal captain scored a hat-trick against Switzerland in the semi-final of the inaugural edition.

Sweden forward Viktor Gyökeres, who enjoyed a prolific 2024/25 campaign, is sixth on the all-time list with 11 goals, while France’s Kylian Mbappé has 10.

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Edin Džeko, Denmark’s Christian Eriksen and Luxembourg’s Danel Sinani have each scored nine goals.

Eight-goal scorers include Netherlands forward Memphis Depay, Georgia’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Georges Mikautadze, Montenegro’s Stefan Mugoša, Finland’s Teemu Pukki and Slovenia’s Benjamin Šeško.

However, the Nations League scoring chart could still change as the 2026/27 campaign gathers pace, with Matchday 2 beginning on Sunday.

Haaland and Ronaldo are set to face each other when Norway host Portugal on Sunday, while several other players on UEFA’s all-time scoring list are also in action during Matchday 2.

A total of 26 matches are scheduled from September 27 to 29, providing further opportunities for the competition’s leading scorers to add to their tallies.

Several players on UEFA’s all-time scoring list remain active in the current campaign, meaning the standings could shift as the league phase progresses.

PUNCH Online had earlier reported that the ongoing Nations League fixtures are being played within a 16-day FIFA international break window, running from September 24 to October 6, allowing national teams to play their scheduled matches alongside other international fixtures across the globe.

Meanwhile, matchday three of the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League is scheduled for September 30 to October 3, 2026, with most fixtures taking place from October 1 to 3.
