Kaizer Chiefs get triple injury boost

Translate

Today’s Kaizer Chiefs news is positive, with welcome triple boost in the attacking third of the pitch just as Betway Premiership football nears a return.

Chiefs could welcome attacking trio back soon

Kaizer Chiefs are dealing with a long list of injuries, but several players are on the comeback trail. Flavio da Silva is back in training alongside Khanyisa Mayo, who has recovered after a hernia operation. 21-year-old winger Langelihle Phili is also nearing a return after a serious ankle injury. Phili could return for the club’s home match against Stellenbosch on Tuesday 13 October.

Baartman forced off for the U23 side

Concerningly, talented 20-year-old attacker Luke Baartman was forced off with a thigh injury for South Africa U23S against Algeria. The extent of his injury is not yet clear, but he’s obviously a doubt for Chiefs’ clash with Stellies next week. Baartman has appeared in all of the club’s seven Betway Premiership clashes this season.
