Propagate Content Adds Four Docuseries From Monster Films

Translate

EXCLUSIVE: Ben Silverman and Howard T. Owens’s Propagate Content has acquired true crime shows and a history-murder title from UK producer Monster Films.

Sky History’s The Real X-Files, True Crime’s Almost Perfect Murders and The Secret World of Forensics and the BBC’s Dark Land: The Hunt for a Killer have joined the Propagate library following a deal negotiated by the company’s CFO, Noah Nusinow and Jimmy Humphrey of Marmalade Sky, who reps the shows.

Each series is 10 60-minute episodes, which Daniel Thunell, Head of International at Propagate, said “delivers a distinct lens on true crime and the unexplained, while delivering the kind of premium, character-driven storytelling that resonates with international audiences.”

The Real X-Files explores once-classified files buried beneath London’s public records office that document decades of military, intelligence and police investigations into the paranormal — from the Bermuda Triangle to recovered alien spacecraft.

Almost Perfect Murders follows ten British cases in which killers were caught after committing seemingly unsolvable crimes, while The Secret World of Forensics pulls back the curtain on ten murder investigations, spotlighting forensic pioneers and revealing how science lead to the truth.

Dark Land explores cold cases in in Wales related to more than 100 unsolved murders, and brings in investigators from policing and psychology to revisit them.

“We are super excited to be working with Propagate Content on these four titles,” said David Howard and Rik Hall, founders of Monster Films. “Having admired their ambitious and wide-ranging slate from a distance, we thought they were perfectly suited to bring these series to market.

Propagate’s acclaimed documentaries include The Last First: Winter K2 for Apple TV, I’m Chevy Chase and You’re Not for CNN, Untold for Netflix, Emmy-nominated Hillary for Hulu, LFG for HBO Max and Jerry West: The Logo for Prime Video.
