Man shot to death by riding-in-tandem suspects in Tarlac City

A man was gunned down on a sidewalk by motorcycle-riding suspects in broad daylight in Tarlac City, it was reported Thursday.

In CJ Torrida’s report on GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon, the incident happened around 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday in Barangay Karangyan,

Initial police investigation, the victim was about to leave a street corner to sell chickens when the two suspects approached him on a motorcycle.

As the suspects drew closer they started shooting the victim.

The victim was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

P/Lieutenant Colonel Glen Santiago, Tarlac City police chief, said the victim was previously involved in illegal drugs.

Police, however, admitted they have yet to establish a connection between the crime and narcotics.

The probe is continuing, including a review of CCTV footage of the area in attempts to establish the identities of the suspects.

Efforts are being made to obtain a comment from the victim’s family. —RF, GMA News
