A bus driver was killed, and 23 people were wounded after a bus carrying a group of girls on a trip collided with a tractor on Route 25 near the HaGadi Junction on Friday morning, ZAKA said.

Three of the wounded were in moderate condition and 20 were lightly hurt, the rescue and recovery organization said.

A report of a road accident between a tractor and a bus was received at Magen David Adom’s (MDA) 101 emergency call center at 8:02 a.m., the medical service said. MDA teams provided medical treatment at the scene to several people with injuries of varying severity.

Firefighters from the Netivot station worked at the scene of the crash, near the entrance to Moshav Shibolim, the Israel Fire and Rescue Authority's Southern District said.

According to the initial report, the bus was carrying a group of girls on their way to a trip. Several people were reported trapped inside the bus, and firefighters worked to extract them.
