Super-sub Thoi Singh Huidrom scored from a brilliant volley to salvage a point for Inter Kashi in a 1-2 draw with Odisha FC in their Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 match here on Saturday.

The match started with a dull opening half, with neither side having a shot on target. Odisha came out with more aggression in the second half and broke the deadlock in the 57th minute, using set pieces as it did in its previous match.

Stephen Eze got a header off Lalthathanga Khawlhring’s corner kick, which deflected into the net off Pratik Choudhari. Eze and Pratik, teammates until last season at Jamshedpur FC, now stood on opposite sides of the celebration.

Former Sreenidi Deccan coach Carlos Vaz Pinto, who took charge as Kashi coach this season, urged his boys to march up the pitch and brought on Thoi for Summet Passi, while Ashangbam Singh came on for Wayne Vaz.

And both substitutes came to the fore in the last few minutes of the match. Ashangbam took the free kick, which Eze tried to head out, but Thoi shot on the volley to rattle the net. The goal ensured a point for Kashi, while for Odisha it marked another night when it let the match slip in the dying minutes of the contest.

In the previous match against Punjab FC, the Juggernauts had conceded the winner in the last minute of the game, and their coach T. G. Purushothaman will look to work on it before they host NorthEast United in their next match on October 24.

Kashi, on the other hand, will host East Bengal in its next league match on October 23.
