DJ Warras murder: Woman allegedly sent his car details to accused mastermind

Police have arrested a 40-year-old woman accused of playing a role in the murder of popular radio personality Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock.

Hlengiwe Goodness Buthelezi was nabbed in Msinga, KwaZulu-Natal, on Wednesday, 9 September, after tracing her to a homestead in the Ngcengeni area.

Investigators allege Buthelezi sent information about Stock’s vehicle, as well as details linked to his partner, to Victor Majola, the man accused of orchestrating his murder.

Police had been searching for Buthelezi since August and had appealed to the public for help finding her.

She faces allegations of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Police track woman to KZN

KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said detectives and Visible Policing officers received information about Buthelezi’s whereabouts on Wednesday afternoon.

They followed the tip-off to the homestead and arrested her on a warrant.

Police will transfer her to Gauteng, where authorities are handling the murder case.

A gunman shot Stock outside the Zambesi Building in the Johannesburg CBD on 16 December 2025.

According to another report, investigators believe Buthelezi is Majola’s girlfriend.

Police allege she forwarded Stock’s vehicle details and information relating to his partner to Majola before the killing.

Investigators have also accused her of previously threatening Stock.

Investigating officer Captain Abe Montwedi previously told the court that Stock became involved in managing the Zambesi Building after concerns emerged over rental collections.

The State alleges that disputes around the building and its management preceded Stock’s murder.

Stock reportedly sought a protection order against several people, including Buthelezi, before his death.

Gunman admitted to R25 000 hit

Joaquim Armando Pacula has already admitted to shooting Stock in exchange for R25 000.

He entered into a plea and sentencing agreement with the State before the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg sentenced him to an effective 25 years behind bars.

The court convicted Pacula of murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and contravening the Immigration Act.

Majola remains in custody after the court denied him bail.

He faces charges of premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
