'He has done a great job': Nick Saban gives Kalen DeBoer his flowers (1:02)

Evidently The Oregon Duck spent its bye week toiling on a woodworking project -- one that would make Christopher Nolan (and Homer's) "The Odyssey" proud.

In Week 4, Oregon earned a major win in both Big Ten and regional bragging rights competition, downing USC 41-27 in Los Angeles. After a week off, the Ducks returned to Eugene this Saturday to meet UCLA -- but the school's mascot still had time to get one more jab at the Trojans in.

When The Duck came out of the tunnel to make its entrance ahead of kickoff, it did so with an extra accessory. In fact, all Oregon fans saw coming out of the tunnel was a wooden horse -- one resembling the "Trojan Horse" of Greek mythology fame.

After the horse was carried onto the field, its contents were revealed: The Duck, toting a shield and sword, who proceeded to run out to pump up the crowd as the Autzen Stadium speakers played "Old Town Road."

As far as pregame crowd motivational tactics go, the success of the gambit was arguable. The Bruins would defeat Oregon 17-15.
