Raila Junior Inspects Late Father’s Memorial Site

Raila Odinga Junior has shared a first look at his late father’s mausoleum, which is nearing completion at the family’s ancestral home in Bondo, Siaya County.

In a video shared on his TikTok account, Raila Junior is seen conducting a walkthrough of the active construction site alongside aides in formal attire, security detail, and a site supervisor in safety gear. The footage depicts the delegation navigating interior spaces fitted with marble flooring and tiling materials, signaling that structural work on the memorial site is well advanced.

The video also captures the entourage stepping into the surrounding compound, where Raila Junior pauses to greet local residents and construction workers involved in the project. The engagement reflects a combination of a formal site inspection and a public-facing community visit.

The late former Prime Minister and longtime opposition figure was laid to rest at Kang’o Ka Jaramogi, the Odinga family’s ancestral estate named after his father, Kenya’s first Vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga. The mausoleum is being constructed to honor the elder statesman’s legacy within a location that holds historical significance for both the Luo community and Kenya’s national political heritage.
