85 South Media Inks Tubi Distribution Deal, Including Curated Collection Of ‘The Best Of The 85 South Show’

EXCLUSIVE: 85 South Media, the Atlanta-native independent media and entertainment company responsible for The 85 South Show, is deepening its business with Tubi.

As the media brand looks to scale its creator-led content business, it has inked a distribution deal with the platform.

A curated collection of 10 episodes of The 85 South Show will soon launch on the free streaming service. The Best Of The 85 South Show, featuring Karlous Miller, DC Young Fly, and Chico Bean, is the first step in what is expected to be a larger presence for the show on the platform. Additional content is to be announced.

Built around the trio above, The 85 South Show has grown from an independently produced comedy podcast to a franchise. To date, the series has amassed more than 750 million views on YouTube and built an audience of more than 2.56 million subscribers.

“85 South started with a small team, a few microphones and a shared belief that we could build something of our own,” Chad Oubre, CEO and co-founder of 85 South Media, said in a statement to Deadline.

The statement continues: “To see that grow into a full media business spanning original programming, touring, talent and distribution is something we’re incredibly proud of. The goal has always been to grow what we’ve built while creating real opportunities for new voices and ideas to scale. Expanding our distribution with Tubi is another step in that journey, allowing us to reach new audiences while continuing to build independently and alongside partners who believe in what we’re creating.”

The latest Tubi launch marks an expansion of an existing relationship between 85 South and the streamer. In October 2025, Tubi revealed an exclusive content slate with Kevin Hart’s production arm Hartbeat, which featured 85 South’s first major feature film. 85 South: Dead End is a satirical horror comedy that follows the trio on a Southern road trip that goes awry in a mysterious town where nobody ever leaves. It’ll bow on Tubi next year.

85 South Media is also expanding its presence in live entertainment. Its 2026 lineup features the Karlous Miller Residency in Atlanta, the Pour Minds: Still Sippin’ nationwide tour, and 85 South Presents: 5 On It.
