Police say ball bearings used to smash windows at government buildings
ACT Policing is calling for witnesses to come forward after ball bearings were used to damage windows at two government buildings on Thursday night.
Police said on Friday morning that detectives were investigating after windows were damaged at a building near the Housing ACT Central Access Point at Emu Bank in Belconnen.
Staff inside the building were temporarily locked down and then sent home for the day, while the Housing ACT office was closed on Friday.
On Sunday, police issued a media release asking for information relating to the damage.

ACT Policing said between 7pm and 9:30pm on Thursday, October 1, "two incidents of criminal damage occurred at buildings on Emu Bank and Benjamin Way".
"At both locations, ball bearings are believed to have been used to impact shopfront windows,"
it said.
"No one was harmed by these incidents."
Anyone who saw any persons or vehicles in the vicinity is being asked to come forward.
