Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

The weekend is just around the corner, and so now marks the perfect time to prepare what you will be sinking the hours when it comes to the next big game. However, with AAA releases costing more and more each year, it is no wonder that many of us are having to budget, and now, Steam has us covered with a whopping four free games which are available to download now.

Ranging from arcade games to puzzle games, and everything in between, this list is bound to have something that appeals to you, and what makes it even more appealing is the fact that you will not have to spend a single penny to play.

First up is Break Even: The Grind, a 2D simulation game complete with pixel graphics which will see you need to do some gambling. With just five hundred dollars to your name and a rented room, you will need to head to the slots in order to make enough money to pay rent, but gambling is a dangerous game, whether you play well or not. Released for the first time earlier this month, this free game may just test your limits.

Next is Havfun, a free-to-play social entertainment world where players will be able to gather and entertain themselves courtesy of slots, Blackjack, Roulette, casual mini-games, avatar customization, rankings, and social spaces. With the ability to play with others, customize your avatar, and enjoy a variety of games thanks to virtual chips, this is the ultimate hang-out game with the goal being to simply have fun.

If you are more of a lone wolf, who just so happens to enjoy training your brain, then you will love BOX PUSH MASTER. We have all experienced smaller versions of this game within other video games throughout the years, but now there is an entire title dedicated to it. Simply push the boxes and find the perfect route in this 3D block puzzle game. A simple formula, but one that definitely works as you can utilize 3D graphics in order to perfectly plan your route, and solve the traditional Sokoban-style puzzles.

Last, but by no means least, is ChessXpanse which, as you can probably guess, is a virtual chess experience. Capturing the "intensity" of the game, players will be pitted against each other in ultimate turn-based gameplay. With varying front lines and starting positions, no two games will be the same. Not only that, but with six different game board sizes to choose from, ranging from 4x5 square board up to the largest 7x7 square board, it is no wonder why this brand-new title is described as the ultimate experience. As the official description reads, "Each of the 66 battles (11 per board size) can rotate in four different directions, creating 244 rotations in which the battles can be served."

These four games and hundreds more are now free to download courtesy of Steam, so do not miss out on saving some cash and looking forward to hours of fun.
