Ilocos Sur taps potential of dive tourism
SAN ILDEFONSO, Ilocos Sur — The provincial government is promoting Ilocos Sur as an emerging destination for coastal and scuba diving through TouriScuba: Dive Clinic, which it held on Sept. 14 and 15.
Set as part of the month-long Ilocos Sur Tourism Festival 2026, Touriscuba introduced participants to basic scuba diving knowledge, safety protocols, and diving skills through lectures, briefings, and pool sessions.

Participants practiced their skills at the Quirino Stadium in the municipality of Bantay on the first day before proceeding to an open-water dive at Dadalaquiten Sur in Sinait town the following day.

The activity highlighted Dadalaquiten Sur and other coastal areas in Ilocos Sur and gave participants firsthand experience in an actual coastal environment.
The provincial government said the activity hoped to shape new tourism experiences centered on its marine environment.
