Bukidnon police arrest 6 drug suspects in buy-busts

VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon — Bukidnon police arrested six individuals and seized 25.544 grams of suspected shabu worth P177,356 in anti-illegal drug operations on Friday and Saturday.

In Valencia City, operatives arrested a 26-year-old male suspect known as “Jojo” at Purok 18, Poblacion, at 2:02 p.m. on Oct. 10. Seized from him were four heat-sealed plastic sachets containing 6.2 grams of suspected shabu worth P42,160.

In Libona, joint operatives arrested an 18-year-old male suspect known as “Eking” at Purok 1A, Barangay Poblacion, at 1:33 a.m. on Oct. 10. They seized three sachets containing 10.2 grams of suspected shabu worth P69,360.

In Kalilangan, authorities arrested a 39-year-old male suspect known as “Moca” at Purok 2, Barangay Central Poblacion, at 2:10 a.m. on Oct. 10. They recovered four sachets containing 1.77 grams of suspected shabu worth P12,036.

In Malaybalay City, two 21-year-old women identified as “Marie” and “Ching” were arrested on the afternoon of Oct. 9 in Barangay 9. The operation yielded 4.074 grams of suspected shabu worth P27,700.

In Maramag, a 35-year-old female suspect known as “Madam” was arrested at Purok 3, Barangay Kisanday, in a joint buy-bust operation that yielded four sachets containing 5.2 grams of suspected shabu worth P35,360.

In Kitaotao, operatives arrested a 39-year-old male suspect known as “Dondon” at Purok 2, Barangay Magsaysay, at 1:54 p.m. on Oct. 10. They confiscated three sachets containing 0.3 grams of suspected shabu worth P2,040.

Authorities brought all six suspects, classified as street-level individuals, and the confiscated evidence to their respective local police stations as they prepare to file charges for alleged violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /mcm
