Marko Zaror & Tyrik Johnson Join Amazon MGM Studios Action Film ‘Deadlocked’

EXCLUSIVE: Deadlocked, the new action movie from Amazon MGM Studios, has added Marko Zaror (John Wick: Chapter 4) and Tyrik Johnson (Dedicated to Morris Burke) to its cast.

Character details are under wraps. The duo joins a cast led by Jamie Foxx, which also includes Sasha Calle, KiKi Layne, and Luke Hemsworth.

Directed by Nikhil Bhat, Deadlocked follows a grieving former Marine serving jury duty who is forced back into action when the trial of the century turns into a deadly hostage situation as the defendant’s daughter seizes the courthouse to free her father.

Eric Scot Anderson and Matt Takejiro Bosack wrote the script from an original idea. Being made for streaming on Prime Video, the film’s producers are Fred Berger for Range, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Dave Caplan for C2, and Jamie Foxx for Foxxhole Productions. AJ Bourscheid, Liz Destro, Paul Currie, and Corinne Foxx are serving executive producers.

A martial artist and actor best known for roles in John Wick: Chapter 4, The Killer’s Game and Fight or Flight, Zaror next stars in and exec produces Brutal Justice, reuniting him with Scott Adkins and Chilean director Ernesto Díaz Espinoza after a recent collaboration on the film Diablo. Zaror will also star in an upcoming film directed by Robert Rodriguez, with whom he worked previously on Machete Kills. He is represented by Vault Entertainment.

Johnson recently filmed Dedicated to Morris Burke alongside Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Kate McKinnon and is one of the leads in the upcoming film The Pig Path. Other credits include films The Mally Right Show and Till, plus the shows The First Lady, Atlanta and Lady in the Lake. In 2025, he was recognized with a nomination for the YoungStars Award at the BET Awards. He is repped by Paradigm, Play Management, and Forward Talent.
