Integrated transport command post set for Christmas, New Year

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's Ministry of Transportation has prepared an Integrated Command Post for Christmas 2026 and New Year 2027 to strengthen coordination, monitoring, and faster handling of national transport disruptions.

The Integrated Command Post for Christmas and New Year transport is planned to operate from December 18, 2026 to January 6, 2027 as the coordination center for national transport operations during the holiday period.

"To support monitoring of transportation, the ministry is scheduling the 2026/2027 Christmas and New Year Integrated Command Post on December 18, 2026 through January 6, 2027, for 20 days," the Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi said here on Tuesday.

Through the integrated command post, Purwagandhi said, the ministry and all stakeholders will monitor transport conditions in an integrated way to detect potential disruptions from the early stage.

"This command post will be a means of integrated coordination and monitoring of transport conditions with stakeholders, so potential disruptions can be anticipated and handled quickly," he said.

Purwagandhi asked all operators to support the integrated command post by delivering operational information quickly, accurately, and continuously throughout year-end holiday transport.

The minister stressed the success of the Christmas and New Year operations depends on the synergy of all stakeholders in carrying out their duties and resolving every obstacle quickly and measurably.

The government targets the integrated command post to become the main instrument of operational oversight so Christmas and New Year 2026/2027 transport runs smoothly with increasingly high-quality transport services.

"We measure Christmas and New Year success by public safety and the quality of service people feel from the time they leave until they return home. Behind every ticket is someone whose family is waiting. That is the responsibility we bear together," Purwagandhi said.
