ADC women wing walk for Atiku/Amaechi in Lagos

Translate

Women of the African Democratic Congress in Lagos State will take to the streets of Ikeja, the state capital, on Thursday, November 5, 2026, for a solidarity walk in support of the party’s presidential ticket of Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi.

The event, billed as the “ADC Women Walk for Atiku/Amaechi,” will begin at 8:00 am.

Participants will assemble in Ikeja, according to information obtained from a flyer circulated by organisers.

The flyer carries the rallying words “Unity, Progress, Hope” and the slogan “Walking Together for a Better Nigeria.”

The walk is being convened by Alhaja Bolanle, the ADC Lagos State Women Leader.

Organisers, however, said the event was not limited to card-carrying members of the ADC, asking others to “join us for the solidarity walk.”

The walk comes months after the ADC named its candidates for the 2027 general election.

The party said Atiku won its presidential primary with 1,846,370 votes, ahead of his closest rival, former Rivers State governor Rotimi Amaechi, who polled 504,117.

Amaechi later accepted the offer of running mate to Atiku as the party prepares for the 2027 election.
