Health risks uncovered as RCCG screens 600 Ogun residents

More than 600 residents of Onihale in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State have received free medical screenings and food supplies, with health workers identifying risk factors linked to hypertension, diabetes and cardiovascular disease among some participants.
The findings emerged during a two day community outreach organised by Africa Needs U, ANU, a US-based faith driven charity, in partnership with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Living Praise Assembly on Kajola Road.
The outreach combined medical screening, preventive health education and food relief, targeting residents facing economic and healthcare challenges.
Leading the medical team, Dr Bankole Abiola warned that potentially life threatening conditions such as hypertension and diabetes often go undetected until they become serious, stressing the importance of routine checks and early intervention.
