Translate

A south-east Queensland police officer has been suspended and will face court after being charged with domestic violence offences including computer hacking and contravening a DV order.

The 35-year-old male constable from the South Eastern Region was charged with 10 counts of computer hacking and misuse, with three of those charges relating to causing detriment and damage.

The officer allegedly committed the acts while off-duty, and was not believed to have accessed any Queensland police databases for information.

He will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on October 12.

The same constable was also charged with six counts of contravening a domestic violence order.

A separate court date was scheduled for November 17.

In a statement, the Queensland Police Service said the member had been suspended from duty.
