Fox News Expands Podcasts With All-Female ‘the Girls’

Fox News, which has in recent months made new efforts to broaden its suite of podcasts, is launching one that will feature a rotating group of women who will address topics that might not get a similar spotlignht on TV.

“Fox News’ the Girls” will air weekly starting October 1, with new episodes each Thursday, and include talk on subjects ranging from politics and pop culture to money, marriage, parenting, relationships and careers. The first episode will feature Fox News Media regulars Rachel Campos-Duffy, Harris Faulkner and Kat Timpf, along with Melissa DeRosa, a recently named Fox News contributor, and former ESPN host Samantha Ponder.

The program represents “a natural addition to our growing podcast portfolio, and we’re thrilled to continue expanding our slate of distinctive shows that complement our existing lineup while creating new opportunities for our audience to engage with our content,” said Porter Berry, president of Fox News Digital and new media, in a prepared statement.

“We’re excited to deliver a no-holds-barred format that captures the authenticity and perspectives of the many dynamic women of Fox News Media and beyond,” said Megan Albano, Fox News’ executive vice president of morning Programming and program development, in a prepared statement.

Fox News expands its podcast offerings as more traditional TV-news outlets try to attract younger listeners and viewers who are spending more time with independent “creators” offering stand-alone video podcasts and newsletters. Episodes of “the Girls” will be made available across platforms including Fox News Digital, YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.

The new podcast joins audio offerings from Fox News Media that include “Hang Out with Sean Hannity,” “Ruthless,” “Will Cain Country,” “Planet Tyrus” and “The Riley Gaines Show.”
