Mohun Bagan Super Giant will look to end a near-decade-long wait for the Calcutta Football League when it takes on Mohammedan Sporting in the final matchday of the 2026-27 season on Saturday.

Bagan leads the Championship round standings in the league and can secure the title with a win over the Black Panthers.

Mohammedan Sporting, on the other hand, has had little to cheer for in the last few years. Having won the I-League in the 2023-24 season, it has had underwhelming performances in the Indian Super League before getting relegated to the second division in the 2024-25 campaign.

The club has won 14 CFL titles so far, with the last one coming three years ago, and will hope to add another trophy to the cabinet with a win over the Mariners.
